Charlie is an experienced coach and management consultant specialising in the field of Human Resources. He has 20 years experience and has worked with many organisations in both the public and private sectors. He spent the early part of his career as a Captain in the Royal Engineers serving in various locations around the world. On leaving the Army he spent a year managing an Antiques Centre before moving onto Cripps Sears, an executive search and selection company in London. In 1990 he joined Hay Management Consultants and put his varied experience to good use, developing a talent for helping his clients to reach practical solutions to their business problems. He joined Aquarius Management Consultants in 1997, becoming a Director in 1998. In 2005 he left Aquarius to start his own company – John Charles Management Consultants. Client Experience Charlie has particular expertise in the fields of executive and management coaching, salary management, job evaluation (experienced and trained in use of Hay system), competency modelling, performance management and 360 degree appraisal. He has worked with a wide range of blue chip organisations including, The Tetley Group, McCain Foods, HM Prison Service, Office of Manpower Economics, London Development Agency, Carlsberg Tetley, Norfolk Police, Cancer Research UK, Thorntons plc, Queens Medical Centre NHS Trust, Mines Action Group and Wilkinson Hardware Stores.
He has an MA in Engineering from Cambridge University, is an accredited member of the Association for Coaching (MAC) has a Diploma in Counselling & Psychotherapy from Warwick University, is a member of BACP, has a Diploma in Management Studies from Farnborough College, and holds British Psychological Society certificates in testing at Level A and B.
He enjoys spending time with his two sons, and when time permits enjoys skiing (he is a qualified ski instructor), watching rugby/cricket and cycling. |
